Kona Dream Builds: Meet Prince Ke$ha, Shae's Process X CR

If you know her, you know Shae James likes to push herself just beyond the edge of her comfort zone every so often. Although her work in the bike industry has given her access to flashy parts, she’s generally opted for a relatively stock and low-key paint job for her personal steed. When the head-turning Process X CR hit US soil, all typical bets were off. Slowly, but surely, she built her everything-everywhere-and-all-the-time ride to serve that beautiful copper paint justice. Based on the reaction from other riders on her very first ride in Santa Cruz, post-Sea Otter, we’d say she got the reaction she was looking to get from this one.

Every bit was chosen for balancing art over money, let’s take a closer look on what makes up this beauty.

Shae based the build around our head turning Process X CR in Gloss Metallic Dusty Rose w/ Chocolate and Bronze Decals.

The drive train is from the big red S with a GX AXS Eagle rear derailleur and cassette mated to a matching GX carbon crankset up front.

For suspension the bike is rocking a RockShox Zeb Ultimate up front and RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate out the back.

The wheels are custom built We Are One Convergence Carbon Triad 30mm rims laced to Industry 9 Hydra Hubs.

The bike features OneUp's carbon riser bar along with a matching 42mm OneUp stem and classic EDC tool, OneUp's new thin grips kick off the cockpit.

Shae splashed out and went cordless with a wireless RockShox Reverb AXS 175mm dropper. The saddle is a titanium railed Vault from WTB.

SRAM Code RSC's with 200mm rotors provide ample stopping power and the oil slick bolts add a touch of class.

How good do OneUp's sweet oil slick pedals look.

Last but least the bike is shod with a 27.5” 2.3 Maxxis Minion DHR out back and a Maxxis 29” 2.5WT Maxxis Minion DHF up front.
